When someone falls off the top of the mountain, how long does it take to climb back up? For boxer Julio "Kidd" Diaz, he hopes it does not take long.

A little more than eight months ago Diaz was in the ring squaring off against Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz for the WBA, WBO and IBF championships.
Julio Diaz (34-4) came up short in losing by TKO in the ninth round. He did not feel he was at his best that night.
"That wasn't Julio Diaz that the fans saw that fight," he said.
When losing a fight, many fighters believe they discover something about themselves. This, however, was not the case for Diaz.
"Honestly, there wasn't much to learn. I really thought it was easy even though I didn't win it," he said. "Juan Diaz didn't have the power or the skills to beat me."
"It was just that I didn't show up that day. I wasn't active for two years. I felt the rust in me."
Now, Julio Diaz has to regroup in order to show the world that he belongs with the top fighters in the division. For his part, Diaz believes a title shot is imminent.
"The IBF commission said right after this fight," he said.
The fight that Diaz references is against the undefeated David "El Torrito" Torres (20-0) on ESPN2 this Wednesday night.
Diaz is not concerned about a letdown against the untested Torres.
"Maybe in some cases, but not for me this time. I have the motivation and anger in me to come back," Diaz said. "He's a fighter, and he's undefeated, but he hasn't fought anyone with the experience that I have. It's a big test for him."
Should Diaz get past Torres, he has his sights set on a rematch with Juan Diaz.
